I subscribed to the Los Angeles Times early last year when I was writing about the challenges for journalism in covering the wildfires there. That was in my News Commons series, which I think has some brilliant and useful stuff. But it didn't go anywhere, so I wasn't sure about renewing. But I just did, for three reasons: 1) Los Angeles and the region are important to my wife and I (she's a native Angelino), 2) the paper (we get the digital version) does a good job on the whole, and 3) our remaining news journals deserve our support.
