Writing with Wordland is like Tweeting, but on my personal press (this blog) instead of Elon's. Or any other giant's. As a difference in kind, it's absolute.

Best I can tell Wordland only works with WordPress?
Doesn’t that make it just another data silo?

Yes, Wordland only works with WordPress (for now I suppose, but Dave Winer will know best), but—more importantly—Wordpress isn’t a silo. It’s an open source CMS (content management system) that countless service providers use, and individuals can run as well. This blog is hosted by Pressable, but before that it was located at Harvard, and can move anywhere. Also, by now more than 43% of the world’s websites use WordPress. That gives Wordland a lot of room for usage to grow.
