What see ye?
I shot the photo above last night on approach to SFO. My window seat was on the left side of the plane. Tell me where this is, what the two most standout features are, and what was happening in the brigher one at the time.
Just for fun. No rewards.
I’ll say more about why later.
Levis Stadium and Apple “Park”?
49ers football.
Computer Vision Conference (was that at Apple headquarters?)
Does this have anything to do with the recent test of a subretinal photovoltaic implant?
Right on the stadium and Apple. I may need that third thing, with macular degeneration slowly advancing.
Based on typical flight paths, you were close to 37°30’00.0″N 122°01’27.5″W looking south
The bright spot is Levi’s Stadium. This must have been Sunday night. The round shape in the upper right of the picture is Apple’s campus in Cupertino.
The location in the photo is Santa Clara, California.
The two most standout features are Levi’s Stadium (the brighter one) and California’s Great America amusement park (adjacent to the stadium).
At the time the photo was taken, an NFL football game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons was happening at Levi’s Stadium.
