Test #2

Well, the first try at the other blog failed. Let’s see if I unscrewed what I lost at this blog. Yep. Did. Backups are a good thing to have.

Okay, just imported all my categories. That was cool too. I think I’ll stop pressing my luck now. It’s good just to have the outliner working again.

Sounds like something isn’t working right??

Hey I just got this great domain. http://loose.ly/

    Pretty funny, eh?? 🙂

While you are fiddling with your blog, can I suggest switching your comment system over to disqus? It’s the closest thing to usenet since slashdot.

I was crying out for a good outliner myself, but the opml editor doesn’t do Linux, so I switched to orgmode in emacs… haven’t figured out what backend to link it to, but wordpress isn’t it….

I second the request to switch to Disqus.

I went back and found an old directory with Radio Userland in it, unspoiled from many months before changing machines and drives and stuff. Put it in, made sure the login/pw were right, and it got back to cooking.

Then I tried figuring how to make it work for more than one blog, and screwed up something. Replaced the whole directory again, repeated the changes, and was back in business. I think I’ll leave well enough alone for now.

I love Loose.ly! Small pieces, etc. Lots of possibilities there.

And I’ll go try making disqus work. I just went there and it seems that I half-did it the first time. Nothing new there. 🙂

  6. I wish you the best luck. Database Backups are easily made in WordPress and i suggest it beyond doubt.
